Who is it for?

If you are suffering from pelvic pain, discomfort during sexual intercourse, recurrent urinary or yeast infections, vaginal discharge, or fertility or menstrual problems, among other symptoms, the gynaecologist is the right specialist to examine you.

The gynaecologist can also help you to diagnose and prevent diseases such as ovarian cysts, endometriosis, uterine fibroma or myoma (benign tumours), womb (uterus) cancer and breast cancer, among other pathologies.

What does it include?

When you arrive for your consultation, the gynaecologist will ask you a series of questions, giving you the opportunity to talk about your symptoms. You will also be asked about your sexual activity, whether you take medication, if you have any pre-existing illnesses and if you have a family history of breast, ovarian or uterus cancer.

The doctor will then perform a brief physical examination of your breasts, vulva, and vagina using a speculum, a metal or plastic instrument used to obtain a sample of the surface of the cervix for subsequent analysis.

Documentation required

If you have recently been seen by another medical centre other than CreuBlanca, please bring with you the results of any diagnostic tests so that your doctor can review them. If you had these tests at any  CreuBlanca centre, you do not need to do this. You must show identification at reception upon arrival.
