Magnetic resonance imaging or MRI is a non-invasive diagnostic technique that, through the use of magnets and radio waves, obtains cross-sectional images of the soft parts of the body without emitting X-ray radiation.

It produces high-resolution images of the interior of the body that help to diagnose pathologies in organs, tissues and the skeletal system.

Magnetic resonance neurography explores the peripheral nerves, brachial plexus, lumbosacral plexus, sciatic nerve and its branches, radial, ulnar and median. 

This type of MRI can be used to diagnose cases of pyramidal syndrome, lumbosciatic pain of unclear origin, acute paralysis of traumatic origin, pudendal neuralgia, cervicothoracic gorge syndrome and intraneural tumors, among other conditions.
